In his own words, Shawn is a "guitar playin', Blues / Soul / R&B & Funk Lovin', Movie Addict, Adidas Fanatic & Disney Enthusiast". The Blues guitarist, singer / songwriter, hails from St. John's, NL (Canada) and has been playing & performing for over 25 years.
Currently, Shawn has three albums to his credit; 'Ain't That What They Say' (2016), 'Call My Name' (2011), and 'MoJo' (2006). You can catch him live with The Shawn Beresford Trio - Delivering some of his favorite Blues, Blues-Funk, and Soul tunes, with soulful vocals and surly guitar! The current incarnation of the trio also offers up the largest chunk of Shawn’s original material, of any SB project to date.

The SB Trio debuted at The Fat Cat Blues Bar on April 18th, 2009. The original lineup included Mike Fardy (Bass) & long time bandmate Bruce Cooper (Drums). SBT '23 has Bruce Cooper behind the kit once again! Bruce has been playing for over 40 years, across multiple genres. For you drum enthusiasts, his biggest influences include Neil Peart, Jerry Marotta & Carmine Appice.
Rounding out the lineup & most importantly, bringing the bottom end, is John Del Rizzo on bass. John has been playing for over 30 years & he 'blames' Chris Squire, John Entwhistle & Tony Levin for all of it! :)
